Home renovations in Sutherland Shire

We are in love with our floor. Thank you to Lucas, Anastasia and the team. Lucas is a perfectionist - he gave us good suggestions throughout the process, kept us updated and was totally on top of things as it went. We had a crazy 6cm slope in our floor but you wouldn't know it now. We will absolutely continue to use New Living Design for future projects and recommend them to everyone we know.

We couldn’t be happier with the renovation of our outdoor area. The team were great to work with, communicated really well, and the quality of the work is amazing. The whole process was smooth from start to finish. Highly recommend!

It was a thoroughly positive experience working with Lucas, James, Liam, and Skye from New Living Design & Construction. From our initial discussions, their professionalism and transparent approach were evident. We particularly valued that they provided a genuine indicative quote before we developed our architectural plans, giving us a clear understanding of the costs early in the process (other builders were not keen to do this). Following a strong recommendation from our neighbour, combined with their competitive pricing, we felt confident in choosing them for our home extension project. Throughout the construction phase, the team demonstrated impressive efficiency. Any questions or minor changes we requested were handled with understanding, creativity and flexibility. The quality of the work in adding our two bedrooms, bathroom/laundry, store room, and rumpus room, along with seamlessly integrating them with our existing home, is excellent. It was clear that the team were committed to delivering a high standard of workmanship, and their honest and reliable nature was apparent from the start. We are delighted with the outcome of our home extension and have received wonderful compliments from friends and family. The team's dedication to quality work and transparency made the project smooth and stress-free - this also applies to the assistance they provided in our interactions with council and the building certifier. We would confidently recommend Lucas, James, Liam, and Skye to anyone considering a building project. Their commitment and expertise truly shine through in the final result.

Lucas and his team at New Living Designs recently completed a six month build, that included a home extension, backyard, multi-level outdoor living area, and inground pool. The attention to detail, professionalism, and ability to not only bring our vision to life, but to collaborate with us on the final design, exceeded all our expectations. Lucas and his team handled every challenge with ease and laughter, and kept us well informed throughout the process, ensuring we had sufficient information to make key decisions along the way. This care and consideration helped us navigate the home renovation and extension process with confidence and made the whole experience seamless. We truly appreciate the hard work and dedication that the New Living Designs team brough to our project. We thoroughly enjoyed having them here and are very happy with the end results. If you are considering a home renovation, or new build, we highly recommend Lucas and his team at New Living Designs.

We couldn't be happier with the work Lucas and the New Living Designs team did for us. From the very beginning, it was clear just how knowledgeable Lucas was. He guided us through every step, offering thoughtful advice and ensuring every aspect of the build was handled with precision. What really stood out was how nothing was ever too much trouble for him. Whether it was a last-minute change or a small tweak, he always went the extra mile. We were also really impressed with the rest of the team - all the boys were just as dedicated and hard working. We're so glad we found Lucas and his team and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a builder!

Recommended by a few work colleagues, we engaged New Living Design to fix our home and make it livable again. Lucas and the team were confident they can fix our home and contributed excellent ideas during the scope and rebuild process, which added lots of value to the end outcome, with a fresh new look to our rooms/bathroom/laundry (Amazing!). I was blown away by courteous manner and high standards they operated at. It was the modern ideas, quality workmanships, respect, outcome and value-add client focused mindset that I found incredibly appealing. At every engagement, I found Lucas to be very professional and accountable, took his time to understand our situation, problems and goals, and working hard on delivering to a plan to get the best outcome possible for us. I loved how Lucas (and team) use their years of build experience to help make the most of the build opportunity. Their approach is doing it right by using quality builders/trades with excellent workmanship, to get the job done at a high standard. In addition, I found Lucas easy to talk to and open to feedback, honest and transparent, fantastic can-do attitude, and most importantly, his commitment/partnership throughout the build process, at each phase, to help us through it. Thank you! For the build crew, they are also very professional, punctual, hard-working, with high standard and great ideas too. Their communication is excellent, especially when they need to explain things to get input from me to get the best result possible. Special thanks to James and Liam. New Living Design exceeded our expectations, delivered us a great result, I would highly recommend them and will not hesitate to use them again. Thanks for helping us on through this journey!

Recommended by a work colleague, we engaged New Living Design for the construction of our garage/studio, patio, laundry and bathroom as well as new roof and sewerage/stormwater works. Lucas and his crew did a fantastic job from demo to completion being considerate to our family as we continued to live on the premises. Lucas was easy to deal with, honest, reliable and very responsive to our queries. He had great ideas which we incorporated into our design and his crew were hardworking and respectful. We would highly recommend New Living Design and would use them again without hesitation.

I need to send Lucas and all his crew the biggest thanks. It was a giant job for me having half my house destroyed by termites. Everyone was professional and thoughtful. I was in high stress mode. The quote was very reasonable and saved me a substantial amount. All trades fantastic. Would highly recommend to anyone.

We engaged New Living Design and Construction for our large renovation - 2 bathrooms, kitchen, 2 living areas and flooring throughout. As soon as we engaged Lucas he was attentive, asked a lot of questions, listened to what our vision was and worked well with our Interior Designer. He quoted quickly, gave us great advice and told us honestly what was possible and what was not. He gave us some great ideas to change during the build and nothing was an issue. He was transparent with pricing and built great rapport with my husband and I. His team were lovely, hard working and courteous - they became part of the family! We will be using Lucas for all of our build requirements going forward and will recommend him to family and friends.

Meeting Lucas for the first time we knew we were in good hands. He knew exactly what we wanted and even made some suggestions we didn't think of. His employees James and Liam turn up and they quickly set up their work space . From then on, it was all systems go.They were polite, professional, and clean, everything was packed away and neatly stored for the next day. And our beautiful deck is a result of their workmanship. All we need to do now is paint and add screening. New Living Design is one company we will tell all our friends about, you will too!!

Definitely one of the most honest, customer focused and quality driven builder I’ve seen in a long time. I’ve been working in construction for over 20 years and I’d highly recommend LUCAS and his CREW if you want your peace of mind( specially nowadays). I’ve done quite a few jobs for them and it’s always been about delivering top quality of service to the customer and attention to detail.

Lucas and his team were phenomenal when renovating my home in Illawong. Lucas had a clear plan and vision which aligned to the dream I had for my home. Nothing was too much trouble (even when I kept adding extra to the scope of work)! Lucas managed all of the contractors well and his communication throughout the process was excellent, particularly given a number of covid and weather impacted delays. The finishes, the recommendations along the way and Lucas' genuine care is seen in the end result. I couldn't be happier with the renovations Lucas and his team worked on. They turned my house into my dream home! I'd highly recommend New Living Design for any renovation or new build!

We are so impressed with the renovation work you've done for us over the last few months. Not only was the work to an extremely high standard, but your extra effort to complete it in a shorter time and on budget was really appreciated. The quality work shows you started with a thorough understanding of our wishes and maintained clear (and very polite) communication through the whole project. We were always impressed by the way you and your team left the site clean and tidy after each day, knowing we were living there through the renovation. Thank you for your fastidious dedication to detail in constructing the house of our dreams. We can highly recommend Lucas from New Living Design & Construction and his experienced team for all your construction and renovation projects.

They were always very professional and delivered a quality product. We would be happy to use New Living Designs again.

We were recommended New Living Design & Construction by several colleagues who have used them in the past, and now, we would highly recommend them to anyone who is considering a new build, reno or extension. Lucas and his exceptional team of builders are trustworthy, reliable, and very easy to deal with. The quality of work is of a high standard, and they show initiative and attention to detail in every aspect of the construction process. The communication was excellent, they seamlessly adapted the design when we faced minor challenges and the build was completed on time. Built an extension/granny flat for us to live in. It is a well constructed, planned, and finished during a particularly difficult time to build. Lucas was always responsive to our requests and we are very happy with the result

Lucas and his team built a granny flat on our daughter and son in laws land. The quality of the initial design and then the work was truly amazing and despite all the difficulties in raw material and staff availability bought on by Covid Lucas and team worked miracles and got the job finished within budget and on time - thanks boys for everything.

Well done team, love our new bathroom. Great team, professionalism, service and the results speak for themselves
